1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• 'Client' refers to the individual or entity hiring our services.
• 'Services' include all moving and related services provided by the Company.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

To secure our services, a deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be settled by the moving date. We accept various payment methods, including cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards.

2.1 Booking Process

Clients must provide accurate information regarding their moving requirements. Any changes to the booking must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.

2.2 Payment Terms

Payments are due as per the agreed schedule. Late payments may incur additional charges.

3. Cancellation Policy

Clients wishing to cancel their booking must notify us in writing.

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled move are eligible for a full refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the move may incur a cancellation fee.

4. Liability

Putney Removals is committed to handling your belongings with care. However, our liability is limited as follows:

• We are liable for direct loss or damage resulting from our negligence.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
• Valuable or fragile items should be declared at the time of booking to ensure appropriate handling.

5. Insurance

All moves are covered by public liability insurance. For additional coverage, clients are encouraged to purchase third-party insurance to protect valuable or fragile items.

6. Access and Parking

Clients must ensure that our team has access to both the pickup and delivery locations.

• Parking spaces should be reserved for our vehicles to facilitate a smooth moving process.
• Any restrictions or access issues should be communicated prior to the moving date.

7. Delays

We strive to adhere to the scheduled moving time. However, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as:

• Extreme weather conditions.
• Traffic congestion.
• Accidents or emergencies.

In the event of a delay, we will inform the client as soon as possible and make reasonable efforts to minimize inconvenience.

8. Responsibilities of the Client

Clients are responsible for:

• Packing their belongings securely.
• Labeling all boxes and fragile items.
• Ensuring that all items are accessible for the moving team.

8.1 Prohibited Items

The following items are not permitted to be moved:

• Hazardous materials such as chemicals, explosives, and flammable substances.
• Perishable goods.
• Valuables including jewelry, important documents, and cash.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Putney Removals reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes prior to their move.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Putney Removals operates. Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this area.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a disagreement, both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action.

12. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or governmental restrictions.

13. Confidentiality

All client information provided to Putney Removals will be handled with strict confidentiality and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining terms will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and Putney Removals regarding the services provided and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

By choosing Putney Removals, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
